I’m not ashamed to say that I’m a sweat pants girl.
When I put on a pair of jeans, a skirt or a dress I’m never completely satisfied with how comfortable they are, because I know my sweat pants are comfier. (It’s the curse of years in soccer sweats!)
Even though my soccer years are long over, I still embrace dressing down, only now in a pair of yoga pants and a comfy t-shirt. It’s a Saturday morning look that I can throw on and still feel comfortable and confident.
My one struggle with throwing this outfit on is that I don’t know what to do with my face!
Make up, no make up, a little make up? Having a totally done up face with a dressed down outfit can be a little hilarious! But, wearing no make up can make me feel a little unprepared.
So where’s the balance?
I’ve found a combination that I’m comfortable with. It includes four basic make up products:
- Concealer
- Foundation
- Eye-liner
- Mascara
I have two issues with not wearing make up. First, I have splotchy skin so my foundation helps me even it out. Second, my eyes are a little sleepy so wearing eye make up on a regular basis helps me keep them looking open and alert!
In this combo, concealer works first to cover any blemishes. Then foundation helps even out your skin. Eye-liner and mascara are the duo that will prevent any annoying “you look tired” statements.
At least that’s what it does for me! What works for you?

P.S. Stephanie is in Bolivia on a mission’s trip with Montrose Church for the next week (where I’m sure she’s rocking a fabulous dressed down look)! You can show your love and support for her on the Bolivia Blog that she’s been updating almost every day.
